The University invites applications from candidates specializing in Urban and Regional Studies, in particular, Cities and Urban Studies.

Candidates should have an international reputation of interdisciplinary scholarship in one or more of the following areas:

1. Geography;
2. Urban Studies;
3. Urban Sociology; and
4. Cities and Policy Studies.

For appointment at the rank of Chair Professor, appointee will be expected to provide strong academic leadership in both research and teaching, and to contribute to the administration and management of the Department, and to the development of the Faculty. The appointee will join the School of Graduate Studies and the Faculty of Social Science and will be expected to provide strong leadership in research and knowledge transfer activities to research centre / institute with focus on cities and social change, and policy studies.
