Job Description Summary

The functions of this position will include: rapid and large scale production and development of nucleoside-modified mRNA, developing and performing all quality control analyses on all mRNAs produced in the lab. Planning and execution of animal immunizations, and gene editing experiments using mRNA. They will act without direct supervision and be required to develop their own assays and methods, troubleshoot these methods, and analyze the data to determine the next steps in development. They will also be involved in experiments carried out as a team, in an assistant role.

DUTIES:

  1. Large-scale production of nucleoside-modified mRNA-LNP 2
  2. Immunize animals
  3. Planning and execution of gene editing experiments
  4. Maintain complete and accurate lab notes
  5. Assistance in experiments involving multiple people
  6. Data analysis and presentation

Position contingent upon funding.

Bachelor's Degree or more and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred.

Must have extensive laboratory experience working with molecular biology techniques and mRNA. Must be willing to work with small laboratory animals. Prior experience with tissue culture work is preferred.
