Lecturer in Business Intelligence

Salary (H3): £38,017 to £49,553 per annum plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting 

Full-time, permanent  

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in the area of Business Intelligence to support existing and new programmes as well as advance understanding in key areas such as business intelligence, data analytics, and digital marketing. Teaching duties will include contributing effectively to the MSc programmes in Business Intelligence and Digital Marketing as well as to the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programmes. 

We are looking for a highly motivated academic who can make a significant contribution to the implementation of our research, teaching and learning strategy. Applicants with experience in advanced research methods including (for instance, parametric and/or non-parametric data analytics that handles Big Data and/or applies Artificial Intelligence techniques) will be particularly welcomed. 

The successful applicant will hold (or near to complete) a Doctorate in Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Intelligence or relevant areas. They should also have an active research profile in relevant areas including journal publications in 3-star and 4-star journals and preferably have experience in teaching Business Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Digital Innovation, Project Management or related business subjects to a high standard. You should be able to demonstrate effective and innovative teaching practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant should also have potential to lead programme management and development, dealing effectively with quality assurance and compliance processes, a publication record in top-tier journals. 

The successful applicant will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
