Job Description

DUTIES:

The Clinical Research Coordinator A position will assist in the coordination of observational clinical research studies at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center in the Department of Neurology at Pennsylvania Hospital. Duties consist of conducting research visits for a longitudinal study of dementia risk in Parkinson’s Disease, including administering batteries of neuropsychological tests, specimen collection and other procedures, travel to patients’ homes, screening and recruitment, and database entry and management

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this position.  Effective problem solving capabilities, strong communication and writing skills are a must, as well as a comfort and sensitivity to an elderly and impaired patient population.  The demonstrated ability to work as part of a team or independently is also important for this position.  Knowledge of IRB and human research protections regulations is preferred.  Current and active driver’s license required. Experience with phlebotomy is preferred but not required.

Position is contingent on continued funding.
