We are seeking an NMC registered nurse with both clinical and teaching experience of Community Adult Nursing, to join our creative and innovative academic team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Health Sciences, a School with a vibrant culture which is part of the highly successful Faculty of Education, Health & Human Sciences. The School delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes including a wide-ranging portfolio of post qualifying (NHS) CPD. The University is currently investing over £3 million in the development of the state-of-the-art simulation centres, the arrival of which will further enhance our record of teaching innovation.

You will have experience of providing high quality teaching, curriculum development and quality enhancement in higher education.  As a member of the Public Health Practice Team you will contribute fully to our District Nursing programmes and will also have a role in supporting learners undertaking the community route on our pre-registration adult nursing programmes. You will also work closely with our colleagues in practice, supporting both students and our practice supervisor and assessor partners.

As a School we contribute fully to the Faculty’s ambitious and achievable long-term plan to build internationally leading research, with numerous opportunities to engage with research, enterprise, and knowledge exchange through the activities of the Institute. We have many examples of teaching innovation, in particular approaches which strengthen and support a blended approach to learning. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to progress through our GOLD framework to achieve Higher Education Academy Senior Fellowship. The opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional (education) doctorate or PhD programme.
