Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer/Assistant Research Officer in the Center for Chinese Law (CCL) of the Faculty of Law (Ref.: 502592), to commence on January 1, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess an excellent academic qualification; knowledge, understanding and experience of China; highly developed communication skills; strong organisational skills; and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) skills. They should demonstrate experience of managing and organizing events, the ability to work effectively as part of a team on a variety of projects, be able to work independently, professionally, and to a high standard under time constraints. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Research Officer, and 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable for Research Officer.
