Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer/Assistant Research Officer in the Center for Chinese Law (CCL) of the Faculty of Law (Ref.: 502592), to commence on January 1, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess an excellent academic qualification; knowledge, understanding and experience of China; highly developed communication skills; strong organisational skills; and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) skills. They should demonstrate experience of managing and organizing events, the ability to work effectively as part of a team on a variety of projects, be able to work independently, professionally, and to a high standard under time constraints. They should also be familiar with web maintenance and have a facility for social media and public relations management. The appointee will work closely with the Director and members at CCL involving in the field of Chinese law. More information about CCL is available at www.ccl.law.hku.hk. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Research Officer, and 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable for Research Officer.
