Job Details
School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the research and development of materials characterization and analysis of distribution cable insulation materials properties and health assessment
- Approximate materials degradation effects on insulation cable under working conditions
- Propose recommendations to control the materials properties under operation
- Conduct literature survey of cable insulations based on the operating requirements and geographical locations
Job Requirements:
- Possess a PhD degree in Polymer Science, Materials Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any relevant science and engineering disciplines
- Experience with synthesis of polymers (e.g. ATRP, RAFT, ROP) and standard Schlenk line techniques
- Relevant publication record

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
