The Division of Midwifery and Radiography is one of London’s leading education providers in the field and delivers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Education is evidence-based and informed by research. Positive relationships between students, patients, clinical practitioners and academics ensure Midwifery and Radiography programmes are academically robust and relevant to clinical practice.

Responsibilities

The Division is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join the established Diagnostic Radiography team. The appointed candidate will contribute to the delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education in Diagnostic Radiography. The role will involve supporting students in practice and working with placement provider organisations to ensure high quality learning experiences.

Person Specification

The Division is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join the established Diagnostic Radiography team. The appointed candidate will contribute to the delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education in Diagnostic Radiography. The role will involve supporting students in practice and working with placement provider organisations to ensure high quality learning experiences.

The successful candidate will have an honours degree in a relevant discipline; a postgraduate degree or an appropriate and equivalent professional qualification; strong academic experience and a professional background, including experience in diagnostic radiography practice; registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) (or equivalent); and experience of delivering high quality diagnostic radiography education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Evidence of innovation as an outstanding educator is essential.

For appointment on an Education and Research profile, candidates will also have a doctoral degree, normally a PhD, in a related area; and a growing research track record and reputation, with evidence of the ability to secure external research funding.
