Position Focus:

The Yale Center for British Art seeks a New Haven Promise Fellow to assist in the Advancement and External Affairs Division. The ideal candidate will have excellent digital communication skills to assist with the proliferation of digital projects, and will create and edit digital content for the Center's website and social media channels. The Fellow will also learn about advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives for exhibitions and programs, and will support the tracking of budgets and expenditures. Responsibilities will also include populating online calendars both internal and external, and assisting with strategy and recommendations for future social media posts. Additionally, the Fellow will work with Visitor Services, staffing the check-in desk, and assisting with research projects, including facilitating visitor surveys, focus groups, and other marketing initiatives.

Essential Duties

  1. Supports and coordinates a range of academic programs.
  2. Works on various programs throughout the year; including researching and writing of highly confidential material and working with other departments within the University.
  3. Interacts with faculty, students and staff within and outside of the University.
  4. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skill/Ability 1:

Prior experience as a New Haven Promise Intern.

Required Skill/Ability 2:

Excellent written and oral communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Required Skill/Ability 3:

Proven ability to manage tasks efficiently and to meet established deadlines.

Required Skill/Ability 4:

Excellent computer skills.

Required Skill/Ability 5:

Demonstrated curiosity and initiative.
