The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will be an experienced clinical faculty member who will focus on clinical care of patients in inpatient and ambulatory settings including  the University of Chicago Comer Children's Clinic and  offsite locations affiliated with the University. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants with educational or research experience in Pediatric Sleep Medicine. The position requires collaboration and the ability to manage a busy, dynamic environment and advance the clinical, educational and scholarly goals of the Section of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.  Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. 

The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe. Comer Children's pediatric sleep experts provide consultation, evaluation and treatment  of children with difficult-to-manage and often life-threatening pulmonary and sleep problems. These patients care is often complicated by other medical disorders, including asthma, autism, epilepsy, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), craniofacial disorders, obesity and neuromuscular disorders. We work hand-in-hand with the child's other physician(s) to ensure comprehensive care.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Sleep Medicine, 4) be Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics , and 5) have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship training in Sleep Medicine.  Review of applications ends when the position is filled.
