Job Description Summary

In support of a patient-oriented research program investigating new interventional approaches in the treatment of both type 1 and cystic fibrosis-related diabetes patients; coordinate and conduct clinical studies, educate patients and families, and promote good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations; manage and assist in analyzing study databases. Supervise research assistants, learn the processing and distribution of blood samples for analysis, coordination of different aspects of all protocols.  

Job Description

In support of a patient-oriented research program investigating new interventional approaches in the treatment of both type 1 and cystic fibrosis-related diabetes patients; coordinate and conduct clinical studies, educate patients and families, and promote good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations; manage and assist in analyzing study databases.  Supervise research assistants, learn the processing and distribution of blood samples for analysis, coordination of different aspects of all protocols.

  1. Coordinate and conduct clinical studies, includes;  subject recruitment, informed consent, chart maintenance and data entry.
  2. Coordinate IRB submissions & renewals in accordance with FDA & IRB guidelines.
  3. Assure compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements includes: collecting, recording, and maintaining data and source documentations.
  4. Oversee study preparation and blood sample processing and analysis.
  5. Database management and analysis.
  6. General maintenance   ordering and stocking supplies, maintaining equipment.
  7. Educate patients and family members.
  8. Promote good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations, included possessing an in-depth knowledge of the federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of clinical studies and human subject protection.

Other Duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

This position is grant funded and contingent on funding being available.
