Job Description Summary

The Palliative and Advanced Illness Research (PAIR) Center is seeking a full-time clinical research coordinator who will be responsible for supporting multiple components of  a large pragmatic trial of electronic health record (EHR)-based implementation strategies to increase lung-protective ventilation (LPV) among mechanically ventilated adult patients including (1) all qualitative aspects; and (2) day-to-day operations of this study.  In this work, the coordinator will be required to act autonomously in his/her decision-making, display excellent communication skills, and good judgment.

This position is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the coordinator’s primary responsibilities will include engaging clinicians and leadership at multiple UPHS ICUs, undertaking semi-structured in-person or phone interviews with 120 clinicians to understand acceptability and feasibility of implementation strategies, coding and analysis of transcribed interviews along with collaborative development of an interview coding guide, training junior staff on coding methods, adjudicating coding meetings. The CRC will also be responsible for various day-to-day study operations including maintaining study databases, assisting with IRB documentation and compliance, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of study materials to ICU clinicians which may include pamphlets, webinars, and emails. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
