The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to join its Accounting Subject Group as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Auditing. We aim to ensure that our students are offered an outstanding student experience, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they can contribute to this aspiration in an efficient, flexible and dynamic way.

The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the Faculty’s strategic priorities, which include the integration of excellent teaching, high-quality research, and the provision of leadership on a range of diverse portfolios within an academic context. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of curriculum content within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the department. The role holder will also contribute to research activities, delivering appropriate research ‘outputs’, income generation and ‘impact’ as agreed by the department Research leadership team.  

Candidates will have experience in corporate financial reporting. We would be particularly interested in hearing from candidates in the areas of forensic accounting, auditing and assurance who either have some academic or industry experience and can teach at higher education level and contribute to the delivery of our Accounting programmes.
