The Director of Client Services for the SHARE (Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Education) Title IX Office is a senior role within the Response Team of the SHARE Title IX Office reporting to the Title IX Coordinator/Director of SHARE within Institutional Equity & Access. The Director will have primary responsibility for providing case management oversight for all reported matters involving sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, relationship violence, gender discrimination, and similar conduct. Case management includes outreach efforts to impacted individuals, intake services, explaining University policies and processes to parties, providing supportive measures to parties, ensuring that parties are connected to other University or community resources, ensuring that parties are kept up to date on the status of their matter, and managing ongoing accommodations at the conclusion of cases. The Director of Client Services will oversee the Office’s database and ensure that all reported matters are tracked and updated, and is responsible for running all reports, including issuing the annual SHARE Title IX Report providing an overview of the matters handled by the Office.  Must be trained in trauma-informed methods of working with individuals. Must have facility in working compassionately and effectively with individuals in crisis on either side of a report.  Must develop relationships with campus partners and liaise with campus partners to provide supportive measures/accommodations.  Must be comfortable training Stanford staff, students, and faculty about the services provided through the SHARE Title IX Office.

Additionally, working with the Title IX Coordinator/Director of SHARE, the Director of Client Services will have substantial oversight of budget operations and may direct and/or supervise staff. 

Duties Include:

  • Provide case management oversight for all reported matters involving sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, relationship violence, gender discrimination, and similar conduct. Case management includes outreach efforts to impacted individuals, intake services, explaining University policies and processes to parties, providing supportive measures, ensuring that parties are connected to other University or community resources, ensuring that parties are kept up to date on the status of their matter, and managing ongoing accommodations at the conclusion of cases.
  • Oversee the Office’s database, ensure that all reported matters are tracked and kept up to date.
  • With the Title IX Coordinator/Institutional Equity & Access, develop reports as needed, including overseeing the data released in the SHARE Title IX Report published annually to the community
  • Develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage and contribute to the development of community outreach strategies that may include relationship development, communications, and compliance.  
  • Represent the program or function at the University level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies. 
  • Evaluate programs or functions, policies, and procedures. Identify issues and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures. Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.
  • May direct and/or supervise staff.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. 

Certificates and Licenses:  Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.

  • Effective project management, organization, and analytical skills.   
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of constituencies.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.  
  • Ability to build relationships and establish collaborative partnerships across the institution and peer institutions.
