Research Fellow, Machine Learning
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral Research Fellow position for an interdisciplinary research project involving the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. The project will involve collaborative research and travel between NTU Singapore and MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA.
The project involves machine learning constitutive relation development and elastic strain engineering (computational simulations of mechanical properties of materials and ground-state and excited-state electronic properties), and employs a variety of experimental and computational tools. Special emphasis will be placed on using deep learning and neural network methods that combine machine learning with DFT and/or finite-element materials modeling approaches.
- Have an earned doctorate degree in physics, applied mathematics, chemistry, materials science, or mechanical engineering
- Prior post-doctoral experience is not necessary
Candidates interested in this position are encouraged to submit a full CV including a complete list of scholarly publications and patents, and the names of three individuals who will provide letters of reference.
We regret only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
