This is a one year full-time research assistant role in the laboratory of Toby Lawrence to undertake high quality research into the role of tumour-associated macrophages in breast cancer.
The main duty of the post holder will be to provide logistics, organisational, and technical support for the team, with some independent research. We are seeking someone motivated and committed for science, who can work independently, is adaptable, efficient, organized, and with a keen interest in the projects we develop in our research.
Candidates should have a degree in biological sciences or similar and previous work experience in a research laboratory. Previous experience of at least three years in a lab is essential. Experience in flow cytometry, cell biology, microscopy, and mouse work including holding a personal licence to work with mice are essential, while experience supervising or training new team members would be desirable. Management and communication skills will also be highly desirable.
