A Research Associate position is available in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

The project aim to develop new algorithms to enhance the cyber security of autonomous vehicles in urban environments.

The successful applicant will be mainly responsible for:

  • Development of machine learning based approaches for anomaly detection of robotic systems
  • Development of detection technologies under sensor and actuator anomalies
  • Demonstration of the developed algorithms in field experiments

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field of research
  • Demonstrated research and engineering skills in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, robotics, anomaly detection, cyber security, etc
  • Comfortable with software development for autonomous vehicle systems and genuinely excited about validating research results in field experiments using real vehicles

Preference will be given to applicants with the following additional skills:

  • C/C++/Python programming skills
  • Experience in robotic software development using ROS
  • Hands on experience with implementing/deploying algorithms on real robotic systems and conducting field experiments
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
