This 2-year research technician in the laboratory of Professor Beatriz Rico is funded by the Wellcome Trust and will provide a key role in a project investigating the assembly and organisation of inhibitory networks in the cerebral cortex.

The main duty of the post holder will be to provide logistics, organisational and technical support for the team. We are seeking someone motivated and committed for science, who can work under their own initiative, adaptable, efficient and with a keen interest in the projects we develop in our lab. Candidates should have a degree in biological sciences or similar and previous work experience in a research laboratory. Previous experience in histology or cell biology or molecular biology are essential, while experience with microscopy and mouse work would be desirable, including holding a personal licence to work with mice. The candidate will benefit from training in a vibrant and collaborative research environment.
