Course description:  This module follows the Toronto Translational Framework and provides an overview of the journey from ideation to implementation of innovations from concepts to market diffusion.  This module covers definitions, regulations and jurisdictions for commercializing devices, services, diagnostics and therapeutics primarily in Canada, US and EU.
 

Estimated course enrollment:  ~ 30 students

Estimated TA support: not applicable

Class schedule:  2-hour seminar-style workshops; occurring Tuesdays/Thursdays between 1-7pm

Sessional dates of appointment:  January 2021 to April 2021

Salary: 

Sessional Lecturer I - $4,244.83

Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term - $4,434.63

Sessional Lecturer II - $4,542.79

Sessional Lecturer III - $4,650.95

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum qualifications:  PhD with equivalent professional and/or academic experience is preferred.

Description of duties: Preparation and delivery of course content, including seminars; creation of courseware; the development and administration of assignments, marking and evaluation of proposals, reports and reflections, maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours, supervision of day-to-day work of project groups.
