The appointee will participate in research projects related to any one of the following areas:

  • Ultrahigh-throughput optical bioimaging instrumentation (e.g. quantitative phase imaging, 3D fluorescence microscopy) from single-cell to tissue level;
  • Development of new ultra-large-scale microfluidic cell-based bioassays; and
  • High-speed microfluidic cell-sorter for single-cell analysis.

In particular, the projects focus on new strategies for next generation of single-cell analysis applied in life-science research as well as clinical diagnosis (e.g. cancer screening).
