  • Supervise Honours and MA students, and develop courses at these levels as required.

Position overview

The ANU School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics is seeking a Lecturer in Linguistics to contribute to its strong research and teaching programs in Linguistics. The appointee will be a skilled teacher in the area of linguistics, with the capacity to enthuse students in introductory linguistics courses, to teach more experienced undergraduate and postgraduate students and to supervise Honours and Masters students. Expertise is sought in one or more of the following teaching areas: cross cultural communication, phonetics/phonology, syntax. The appointee will be expected to have an active research agenda which includes plans for seeking funding opportunities.

We anticipate the appointee will commence no later than January 2021.

The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice.
