Job Details
NTU-LTA Transport Research Centre (TRC@NTU) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.
Job Responsibilities
- Support developments on research in visual perception on glossiness and glare
- Conduct lab experiments, virtual reality simulations and field survey to study glossiness and glare
- Provide both qualitative and quantitative measurements and analysis of the data collected in the above experiments
- Prepare presentations, progress reports and manuscripts
- Develop guidelines for vehicle glare
- Manage part-time student assistants
- Coordinate the research activities with the research team and collaborators
Job Requirements
- Ph.D Degree in Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or Transport Studies (transportation engineering / transport logistics), or equivalent field (e.g., visual perception)
- Experience in the experimental design involved human subjects
- Prior research experience in visual perception, psychophysics, and surveys
- Strong background in statistical analysis in R, SPSS or SAS
- Programming experience in Matlab with Psychtoolbox, E-prime, Python, and/or C++
- Good English writing and communication skills independently and as a team player
- Good publication records

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
