Research Fellow (Genomic)
The Asian School of the Environment is looking for a talented and highly motivated Research Fellow to join a genomic research group. The group is conducting several projects based on genomics and bioinformatics and analyzing mainly whole genome sequencing datasets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze population whole genome sequencing data
  • Bioinformatic analysis
  • Statistics analysis

Job Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or related fields
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in R, Perl, Python, or shell
  • Familiarity with computing environments of HPC
  • Highly analytical, critical thinker and meticulous in work
  • Demonstrated skills in data visualization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to participate in diverse research topics in a research group

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
