Located in Joondalup, north of Perth, Western Australia, the Edith Cowan University (ECU) Survey Research Centre (SRC)is part of the Exercise Medicine Research Institute (EMRI) within ECU’s School of Medical and Health Sciences and is looking for someone with strong business acumen and experience in running market/survey research to lead the Centre.
The Centre conducts high quality health survey research for the School of Medical and Health Sciences, other areas within the University, government departments and other health-related organisations and universities. It has state-of-the-art technology to conduct telephone and field surveys and has current and ongoing contracts with a number of major organisations.
The Survey Research Centre Manager is responsible for management of all aspects of the Centre. Working closely with EMRI and the School to ensure alignment to the broader University strategic goals, the manager will be responsible for developing plans to ensure the Centre’s ongoing sustainability and lead a great team of Interviewers and other support staff. The role is busy, dynamic and an opportunity for someone who wants to really take ownership of the role and take the Centre into the future.
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following:
- Experience in survey/market research centre management
- Strong financial skills including the ability to develop and work to a budget
- The ability to manage and develop staff including casual employees
- Ability to apply your knowledge of marketing and advertising strategies to promote and grow the Centre
- A proven track record in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $101,636 to $114,474 pa (HEW 8) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
