C.V. Starr Fellow

D-20-PNI-00003 | Princeton Neuroscience Institute | Research

The Princeton Neuroscience Institute (PNI) aims to recruit several exceptional individuals for our C.V. Starr Fellowships in Neuroscience. These are individuals who have obtained a PhD in neuroscience or areas relevant to neuroscience (molecular biology, psychology, computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics). Fellows are expected to pursue their research with the guidance and mentorship of one or more core faculty members in the Institute.  We encourage applicants to reach out to the faculty member(s) to gauge interest and discuss their research proposal prior to applying.

The CV Starr Fellowship program provides a generous salary and a modest annual research budget. Fellows also have the opportunity to teach in our Institute programs, subject to course enrollments and with the approval of the Dean of the Faculty.

PNI focuses on interdisciplinary research in neuroscience, spanning from molecular, cellular and genetic approaches to systems and human cognitive neuroscience. There is equal interest in candidates pursuing experimental, theoretical or computational approaches to understanding brain function.

PNI houses state of the art facilities for experimental research in all of these areas, as well as advanced computational resources that support theoretical and quantitative approaches to neuroscience.  For more information about the Institute, see http://pni.princeton.edu/

Candidates must apply online at https://puwebp.princeton.edu/AcadHire/position/14901 and submit a cover letter, CV, a list of publications, a statement of research interests and goals, a cover letter and contact information for three references.   Applications will be reviewed starting on January 20, 2020 but the search will remain open until the positions are filled. Appointments will be made at the rank of Associate Research Scholar for one year, and are renewable for up to three additional years based on performance. PhD is required at the time of appointment. These positions are subject to the University's background check policy.
