Description
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric plastic surgery patient care and research. Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of residents, fellows and medical students as well as laboratory personnel.
Clinical responsibilities may include care for pediatric plastic surgery patients on an in- and outpatient basis.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development and maintenance of a pediatric plastic surgery basic science program, with focus on craniofacial developmental biology.
This physician/scientist position will be focused at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the nation's oldest pediatric hospital and consistently ranked among the best. Candidates are expected to have an outstanding record of research and scholarship productivity and established extramural funding.
