Description
The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of nucleoside-modified mRNA, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and the targeting of LNPs to specific cell types and tissues. Candidates will have a minimum of 7 years' experience working with nucleic acid delivery. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include the use of basic research techniques to define genetic correlates of mRNA delivery. The candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with current research faculty. Candidates should have evidence of productivity in scientific journals. Selected candidates will be expected to present research findings at peer academic institutions as well as national and international scientific meetings. Qualified individuals will exhibit creativity in the application of cutting-edge techniques and approaches to advance their scientific progress.
