Research Associate in Gynecologic Oncology
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of long-standing experience in the field of ovarian cancer research; and be proficient in studying the function of long noncoding RNA and epigenetic regulators. Strong background on computational biology, molecular biology and cancer genomics is required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research as well.
Responsibilities may include planning, organizing and executing research projects related to the main scope and focus of the lab; organizing different resources to be utilized in the course of study; getting approval from different regulatory authorities; writing and disseminating research results by preparing manuscripts and presenting the research findings at scientific conferences.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to conduct research while interacting with faculty, other research associates, post-doctoral fellows and MD/PhD students in the research laboratory.
