Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology (Ref.: 501918), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidate may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong and the F.R.C.R. (UK) or equivalent. They should be experienced clinicians preferably in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and/or Positron Emission Tomography (PET); and have a distinguished record of scholarship with demonstrated leadership, outstanding research achievement with evidence of international recognition in the field of Radiology, and significant experience in capacity building, supervising and mentoring early career researchers and post-graduate research students. They should also have a track record of quality teaching and contributions to curriculum development.
The appointee will supervise, lead and conduct clinical and translational research; organize and develop undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes; provide clinical services and patient care in the University's teaching hospitals; and contribute to administrative duties in the Department and Faculty. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
