Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery and hold special ABS certification in pediatric surgery.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical instruction of students, residents and fellows in the operating room, on patient rounds and in the outpatient clinic as well as periodic lectures and small group activities for these groups and others.

Clinical responsibilities may include building a clinical practice in pediatric general surgery, with emphasis on bariatric surgery.

Candidates with fellowship training and experience in bariatric surgery will be preferred
