Assistant Professor - Consultative Cardiologist
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular disease.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, medical residents and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include developing an outpatient cardiovascular medicine practice in general and consultative cardiology. Opportunities for outpatient non-invasive imaging including TTE, TEE and nuclear cardiology will be available based on individual experience and the needs of the Cardiovascular Division.
Selected candidates may also attend on the inpatient cardiovascular service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a primary practice site at the Penn Medicine Radnor outpatient campus, located in suburban Philadelphia.
The Heart and Vascular Center at Penn Medicine Radnor is a growing full-service outpatient cardiovascular practice with anchor physicians as well as cardiology sub-specialists. In addition to a robust clinical practice, there is substantial growth in TTE, TEE, Stress Echocardiography, and Nuclear Stress testing. In June 2020 the practice will move into a brand new state of the art multi-specialty outpatient facility.
