Description
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of genetics as it pertains to human cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience as a postdoctoral fellow. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include using genome-editing techniques to model cardiovascular and metabolic disorders in mice, human pluripotent stem cells and other types of cultured cells.

It is expected that selected candidates will be capable of securing independent funding within 1-2 years of starting the position.
