The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of cancer predisposition.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students and medical students.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care for Oncology patients at the University City campus (if applicable).

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include laboratory research studying genes, mechanisms or animal models related to disorders responsible for cancer predisposition in the first two decades of life. This position will be supported by a generous start-up package.

Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidate with an MD or MD/PhD should be engaged in laboratory research, with a clinical interest and expertise in cancer predisposition. However, a PhD with an exceptional research program would also be considered. M.D. and M.D./Ph.D. candidates must be Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or a related discipline.
