Assistant Professor, AC Track, Division of Infectious Diseases
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatrics with a focus on Infectious Diseases.
Teaching responsibilities may include high quality teaching of CHOP fellows and residents as well as medical students from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing coverage in two inpatient consultation services, one service focused on children with general infectious diseases and another dedicated to the care of immunocompromised hosts. The division also has a busy outpatient clinical practice. In addition to our General Infectious Diseases Clinic, we have dedicated “partner-clinics” to provide collaborative outpatient care to outpatients with other underlying conditions, including malignancies, bone marrow and organ transplantation and cystic fibrosis.
Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
Additional responsibilities may include participation in the Antimicrobial Stewardship program, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety initiatives and collaborative research. Candidate must have excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
