Description
The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of intraoperative monitoring.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include performance of intraoperative monitoring and neurophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Secondary clinical responsibilities will include outpatient clinic in the candidate’s area of expertise and inpatient neurology service time in line with the standard departmental requirements.
The successful applicant will have experience in Intraoperative Monitoring and in the field of Neurology ideally in the area of neurophysiology but applicants with expertise in general neurology, neuromuscular, and epilepsy would be desirable for additional clinical roles in the department.
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board eligible/certified in Neurology; completing fellowship training or post residency training in intraoperative monitoring and having clinical experience performing intraoperative monitoring with board certification in intraoperative monitoring is highly desirable.
