MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST, MIT Medical, to perform mammography exams and radiologic imaging for diagnostic purposes.  Will ensure that high quality diagnostic images are produced; perform general radiology procedures on infant/pediatric/adult/ geriatric patients as requested by a physician; confirm clinical data, obtain patient history, and use the lowest possible dose to provide high quality images; and provide for the emotional, physical well-being, and safety of patients while maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.  

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:
associate’s degree in medical technology, biology, or chemistry; ARRT registry certifications in radiography RT® and mammography RT(M) certification from a recognized accredited institution, Massachusetts’ license with no constraints, and certification from a recognized agency; Massachusetts’ license in radiography/mammography; at least one year of experience as a licensed radiology/mammography technologist; successfully passing of the ARRT exam in mammography; detailed knowledge of mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations and ability to learn and master new tasks related to image quality and safety; BLS/CPR; ability to push, pull, or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds and perform tasks employing arm/hand steadiness; attention to detail; ability to multitask, prioritize, adhere to safety guidelines, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and work as part of a team and with people of various diverse backgrounds; strong documentation skills; and proficiency with computers and MS Office.  Must be comfortable with potential exposure to body fluids, hazardous waste materials, poisonous substances, dust, chemicals, bodily injuries, loud or unpleasant noises, electrical hazards, and electromagnetic radiation as in CRTs (VDTs).  May stand or walk and remain in potentially uncomfortable positions for prolonged periods of time.  Job #18922-8
