Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Academic Pediatrics, seeks a Clinical Associate at 100% effort for a renewable two-year term. The appointee will have strong primary care skills with experience guiding the professional development of students and staff and possess excellent communication skills. Direct patient care responsibilities include managing patients with general and complex pediatric needs. Limited off-hours and occasional weekend coverage are expected. Primary placement is anticipated to be at the Child Life Center located at 19550 Governors Hwy, Flossmoor, Illinois and could include other locations as needed. Teaching of medical students and/or residents is expected.  The University of Chicago Department of Pediatrics is committed to providing superior, compassionate healthcare to all children. Our faculty includes more than 130 full-time members and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conducts cutting-edge translational and clinical research.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, and 4) have several years’ work experience post residency.
