Job Description

This is a lab-based research position that will support research in Dr. Brad Johnson’s lab in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine at Penn, and in Dr. Andrew Vaughan and Dr. Montserrat Anguera’s labs at the Penn Vet School, with approximately 50% time spent at each location.  The position requires involves working with Drs. Johnson and Vaughan on a collaborative R01-funded project to study telomere function in cultured human lung cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells), and working with Drs. Anguera and Vaughan who are collaborating to investigate how the male vs female nature of such cells impacts responses to SARS-Cov-2 infection, which is supported by a Covid administrative supplement to Dr. Anguera’s R01.  The position requires a similar set of experimental skills and techniques for both of the projects (culture, editing, directed differentiation and analysis of  iPS cells).

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
