You will be the lead statistician in the CPTU. You will support our investigators and collaborating CIs with developing appropriate study designs and applying for research funding, calculating sample sizes and preparing statistical analysis plans. You will apply modern statistical methods in the design and analysis of clinical trials and other clinical studies. Such methods are likely to include adaptive trial design, analysis of cluster randomised trials, causal analysis of trials with non-compliance, and multiple imputation for missing values. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to apply concepts from mathematical statistics to data analyses, with experience of working on clinical trials. Data analysis will primarily be in R or Stata and therefore successful candidates will be proficient in at least one of these packages. You will also participate in trial management meetings and produce reports for data monitoring and steering committees.

You will report to and be supervised by Prof. Peter Sasieni, Director of the CPTU and King's Clinical Trials Unit. Your seniority will offer the potential to coach and line manage other statisticians and you will be required to develop strong working relationships with other statisticians across King's. Your contributions will be recognised through authorship on publications. We value your professional growth and you will have opportunities to attend conferences and training.

This post is currently home-working in response to COVID-19.
