Job Description Summary

This Resource Technologist position reports to the Technical Director of the Human Immunology Core (HIC) Facility at the University of Pennsylvania. This individual is responsible for the performance of immunology assays including flow cytometry, multiplex luminex assay, digital ELISA, ELISA and ELISPOT assays. In addition, this individual will also perform blood / tissue processing, equipment maintenance, reagent selection and validation, and help develop or update standard operating procedures (SOPs). Position contingent upon funding.

Job Description

This Resource Technologist position reports to the Technical Director of the Human Immunology Core (HIC) Facility at the University of Pennsylvania. This individual is responsible for the performance of immunology assays including flow cytometry, multiplex luminex assay, digital ELISA, ELISA and ELISPOT assays.  In addition, this individual will also perform blood / tissue processing, equipment maintenance, reagent selection and validation, and help develop or update standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. In addition, strong written and oral communication abilities are required. Experience in developing SOPs, working under GLP conditions, working with a Laboratory Information Management System, performing flow cytometry and/or validating assays is preferred.
