The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks applicants for a department pre-award administrator position. The incumbent serves as a resource to faculty, staff and students for questions related to grant proposal submissions. Responsibilities include: timely communication with PIs on important guideline changes in proposal submissions; review and understand agency program announcements and submission requirements; review budgetary guidelines in accordance with sponsor proposal requirements; understand and ensure compliance with Federal Uniform Guidance and University policies on allowable costs; ensure appropriate application of cost rates when preparing budgets; provide complete and accurate budget justification; coordinate proposal submission with PI an co-PIs; coordinate with other departments or institutions for proposal submissions; prepare proposal submission through Princeton ERA uploading all required files, budget and budget justification and any other required documents; prepare proposal submission to grant agency using most current available electronic system such as Fastlane, NSF Research.gov, NASA NSPIRES, Grants.gov Workspace; responsible for reconciliation of various accounts including departmental Credit Card transactions; Faculty Computer Program accounts; Learned Society accounts; Prospect Card transactions; update Chart of Accounts; audit financial accounts and enter adjustment journal entries; assist with CEE website update.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with six plus years work relevant experience.
- Strongly prefer research administration experience including grant proposal preparation and submission to various governmental agencies such as NSF, DOD, DOE, NASA, etc.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize among competing deadlines.
- Superior analytical skills and superb attention to detail.
- Knowledge of government regulatory policy and implementation related to sponsored research and other activities.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of University personnel, as well as the research administration. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be reliable, adaptable, and responsive to changing work demands.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Superior computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Excel, and Word.
