Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology (Ref.: 501901), to commence as soon as possible for one year.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences or Humanities.  They should demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English; excellence in analytical evaluation and generation of practical solutions; familiarity with qualitative analysis in social research; and ability to work independently and as a team.  The appointee will assist Dr. Tommy Tse in planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities in relation to his knowledge exchange project on internal migrants and community services in China; oversee data collection, data analysis and report drafting; and perform any other relevant tasks as assigned.  There will be ample opportunities to work with research professionals, non-governmental organisation professionals, as well as stakeholders in the community.
