Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 501937), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; with a strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). Frontline social work and/or research experience in drug rehabilitation, substance abuse, or related rehabilitation services is essential.  Knowledge and experience in using mixed research methods are highly preferred.  The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on a drug treatment and rehabilitation evaluation programme; overseeing data collection, data analysis and drafting reports; and performing other duties as assigned.  He/She will have ample opportunities to work with social workers, professionals in drug treatment and rehabilitation, and other stakeholders in the local community.  Those without a Ph.D. qualification but possess a Master’s degree plus 1 year’s postgraduate experience will only be considered for the post of Senior Research Assistant.
