One Project Officer position is currently available in the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, NTU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the theoretical aspects of quantum information, and in particular on the mathematical framework of quantum resource theories as part of the project “Quantum resources: from mathematical foundations to operational characterisation”
  • Conduct independent research in collaboration with the PI and members of the Quantum and Complexity Science Initiative
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication in leading international journals and
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the project.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Expertise in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
  • Minimum 1 year of research experience at postgraduate level in a related area
  • Familiarity with quantum information and computation
  • Good communication skills
  • Independence and self-motivation

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
