Support/Academic/Management Support

UCB is seeking to appoint a proactive and committed individual to assist students with the development of their academic skills as part of our dedicated Academic Support Team.

The successful candidate will deliver English for academic purposes and academic skills support with students who have a diverse range of needs. They will deliver 1-1 and small group sessions, both face to face and online, to improve students’ confidence and attainment.

You will take a student-focused approach, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be enthusiastic about enhancing student experiences and outcomes.

In addition to working in diverse learning environments with students, the successful candidate will take on administrative responsibilities pertinent to the position and help develop the provision of the Academic Support Team.

Opportunities for self and professional development will be provided, and the post-holder will be encouraged to work towards a recognised qualification in learning support.

Two of these roles are full time, and one is a fractional role, positioned around the main further and higher education teaching weeks (40 weeks per year). Flexibility in terms of working hours is essential as there are some early starts and late finishes.
