About the Job

Swinburne’s Centre for Mental Health is seeking a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to contribute significantly to the University’s Well Above World Standard rating in psychology and neuroscience (ERA 2018). Reporting to the Centre Director, this position will be integral to a new 2-year research and product development partnership with industry.

As the Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow, you will be responsible for the timely completion of a series of innovative work packages related to parallel scientific and product development aims. Key performance indicators for the role include project management, research, and administration targets. You will establish yourself as a future leader in industry-integrated mental health research via industry networks, publications, supervision and project management experience, and grant development experience.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • PhD qualification in psychology or related discipline
  • Proven ability to conduct high impact research in mental health, supported by a track record of publications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary research team
  • High-level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
