012576 Research Assistant, SBES, UCD School of School of Biology and Environmental Science, Temporary 36 months post

We are seeking a research assistant in Agri-tech, Biosystems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar areas to join our School. This position will combine assisting data collection and data analysis of different equipment, including a state-of-the-art high-throughput phenotyping platform, plant growth chambers and other equipment. Training for this cutting-edge imaging equipment will be provided. The research assistant will collaborate with an international team with expertise in different areas namely crop physiology, phenomics, computer science and breeding.
The research assistant will be responsible for maintaining and programming equipment functions, assist on experimental design, QC and preliminary data analysis of plant-images, liaison with imaging company regarding equipment troubleshooting among other research-related tasks.

The research assistant will work as part of a team conducting this research programme.

Fixed Salary: €22,609 per annum
