TECHNOLOGY LICENSING ASSOCIATE, SOFTWAREOffice of Strategic Alliances and Technology Transfer (OSATT)-Technology Licensing Office (TLO), to work on technologies related to computing and software, including AI and machine learning. Will support technology licensing officers with myriad tasks, including assisting with drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements, stewarding technology cases in a comprehensive intellectual property (IP) and financial technology database. 

The position offer an opportunity to have substantial exposure to the vibrant technology-driven innovation ecosystem at MIT and to work closely with leading research scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and patent attorneys on matters related to patents, copyrights, data agreements, open source software, and licensing contracts. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a B.A./B.S. degree in a science or engineering field; at least one year of related experience, preferably in university or corporate technology transfer; excellent organizational, priority-setting, and verbal and written communication skills; good judgment; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to quickly communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly; and proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software.  Seek a detail- and deadline-oriented self-starter who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively and thrives in an environment that encourages strategic thinking. 

PREFERRED familiarity with software business development and open source software, and graduate work in the physical science or engineering field. Job #18859-7

This is a one-year appointment.

Salary range: $65 - 67,000
