POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATEKoch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Belcher Lab, to work on cutting edge medical infrared fluorescence imaging research as a member of the laboratory of Professor Angela Belcher. Will join an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative team of scientists and engineers. Will be responsible for enhancing the Belcher lab’s capabilities in medical fluorescence imaging and analysis of cellular-sized features through deep tissue; overseeing model development and instrument use, maintenance, and troubleshooting; communicating results to the scientific community through publications and presentations; and supervising undergraduate students and laboratory technicians.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a Ph.D. in biophysics, optics, materials science and engineering, biological engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field; prior experience with advanced fluorescence imaging, instrument design and setup, and software and hardware development is required; experience with small animal models; strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; self-motivation; and attention to detail.  Must be able to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment, contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team, execute detailed technical protocols meticulously, and prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment. Supervisory experience is preferred.
