INVITATION OF APPLICATIONS 

The Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies, University of Ghana, invites applications for appointment at the rank of Lecturer or above for the following position:  

Archaeology with specialization in Archaeo–metallurgy.The candidate must have aA Ph.D. and demonstrated expertise in the ancient and contemporary traditional iron smelting industry in sub Saharan Africa and the different cultural traditions and techniques associated with the process. He must also show promise in research as demonstrated by conference presentations and/or publications, as well as strong endorsement by referees.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

An applicant is required to submit a completed application pack to the College Secretary, College of Humanities, University of Ghana, P. O. Box LG 1173, Legon, Accra, Ghana (Hardcopy) or cohcsecretary@ug.edu.gh (Soft Copy). 

The Application Pack should contain the following:

i. Completed Academic Staff Application Form (UAB Form 1A) to be downloaded from the University’s website at www.ug.edu.gh/hrodd

ii. An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae supported by copies of academic and professional certificates.

iii. Applicants’ Teaching and Research Statementof about 2,500 words (not more than five pages).
